About the project:
The idea of a Collective Memory project originated within the framework of Berlin School of Creative Leadership. Six participants of the creative leadership studies were asked to create a new conception of communication.
Inspired by the idea that books, films, and archives only capture a small part of our history, while the important, „real“ history is hidden in personal memories and stories, they created the Collective Memory project.
Young people are invited to capture important and significant stories of their parents and grandparents, and to share them with others subsequently.
Our era is a digital one, and we are breaking away from our past, as we primarily concentrate on present and future. The voices of older generations cannot be heard frequently in the digital environment. If they disappear completely, we might lose important bonds to our own roots.
